    In recent weeks, Visible Dust (VD) has contacted some of our dealers threatening to sue those who sell our brushes, over an alleged patent infringement.

    We at the Dust Patrol believe in respecting the intellectual property rights of others and thus, are taking VD’s concerns seriously.  We are attempting to discuss this matter with VD’s counsel and just recently received information regarding VD’s Patent Application.  From the information obtained thus far, the patent application is aimed at a “portable dusting tool provided with a small battery-operated rotary motor that spins a bristled-provided member (such as a brush)”.  As you know, we do not sell any such products.

    Be assured that we believe we are in no way violating any such patents - VD or others.  We are confident in our position of non-infringement and are willing to indemnify any dealer who receives a threat from VD. Please forward any such written correspondence, or the time and date of any phone call, and who you spoke with, and the company they represent. Ask them to follow up the phone call with a written letter or email.     We at The Dust Patrol believe you have the right to sell any of our products you wish, and are extremely upset that some competitors feel the need to make unsubstantiated threats to force their products into your dealership. Please also know we are doing everything to respond to VD’s claim and we intend to defend our legal rights and those of our customers to the fullest extent of the law.
